1. Name of bunker chemical & why use?

BaCO3, MgCO3

1) to modify sludge, so that sounding action will be easier.

2) chemical have to add 0.03% of the total bunker.

2. What is Bilge Injection?

There is a direct emergency bilge suction head to the main S.W cooling p/p, this suction head commonly called the Bilge Injection.

A direct suction pipe from the machinery space bilge which is connected to the largest capacity pump.

4. How will collect bunker sample?

Bunker sample can be collect from bunker station/manifold by sampling cock during total bunkering period as droplets.

5. Difference between Bilge discharge and garbage disposal regulation.

Bilge can be discharge outside of special area with 15 ppm monitoring system. But garbage can not disposal any special or out of special area.

6. Why impressed current stopped during bunkering?

During bunkering time, heat may be produce inside the tank and deck plating. That's why a very small amount of electricity supply and may create electrical fire. So ICCP are stopped.
