              Effect of NaCl in boiler:

1. Causes of foaming & priming

2. High corrosive attack on iron surface.

3. Heavy scale formation on heating surface.

4.  Local overheating.

5. Less heat transfer.

6. Low boiler efficiency.

                             Action in case of boiler NaCl level in water:

1.  Restrict chloride content to feed water.

2.  Increase blow down.

3.  Remove all scale forming salt into a non adherent sludge by using chemicals.

4.  Add antifoam compounds.

5.  Use distilled water.
