What will be indication of Uptake fire and what will be your action?
Indication of uptake fir:
1) heat sensor will raise the alarm.
2) T/C will surging
3) exhaust temp will increase
4) engine efficiency will less
Action:
1) inform C/E & bridge
2) reduce the engine rpm & eventually stop the engine
3) stop T/C blower
4) blank of T/C suction filter
5) shut the funnel flaps
6) drain F.O tk.
7) check P/F
8) arrange boundary cooling
9) boiler circulating p/p should be run.
